Aristotle & Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Saenz follows Ari (Aristotle) through his journey as a teenager who tries to live up to his parents’ expectations, deal with a missing brother, and foster a friendship with Dante. Through this book, he discovers his identity and has his, I guess you could call it, “glow-up”. I enjoyed reading this because the author portrays the characters in a way that makes you relate to them. Also, the style of this book is unique. You’ll be questioning life by what someone said from one page and the next page, you’ll be laughing because of some dumb thing that same character did. With many twists and turns, you form a story through what the author has provided you: bits and pieces of the character’s lives.
